Why learn to fly at the sebring flight academy?

Out students are proficient in crosswind landings prior to solo.

We make low passes down the runway with a crosswind until the pilot is very proficient before we teach landings. We call this GPA or Ground Proximity Awareness training.

We keep our students safe because they will have a Personal Limitations Checklist (PLC).

The PLC was developed by our founder, Lou Mancuso "The Landing Doctor" in 1992. Each student completes a PLC with their mentor CFI. Since our students follow the limits set in their PLC and do extensive crosswind landing practice, no student has ever been injured at the Sebring Flight Academy.  Stalls are only practiced with a CFI on board and we teach stall avoidance techniques.

We use new Bristell Technically Advanced aircraft with Garmin Glass panels.

Lou Mancuso's Sport Flying USA, Inc. is the importer for Bristell Aircraft, so we buy our aircraft at importer cost. We have one of the lowest dual rates in the country.

Low drop out ratio. The national drop our ratio is 6 out of 10.

The Sebring Flight Academy has a drop out ratio of less than 1 in 10 because students are trained to a higher standard and feel competent prior to solo and working the radios.

Our students fly every day.

We own our our 3 bedroom ranch near the Sebring Regional Airport and provide housing for as little as $30 per night or $500 per month for a shared room. $850 per month for a private room.

Tall and heavy students are welcome.

The Bristell cockpit accommodates pilots from 5'4" to 6'8" and up to 280 lbs
